Some things are too precious to only remember — you want to carry them. The Imprint Signet Ring takes an actual fingerprint, handprint, or paw print and casts it into a signet-style band, a quiet, permanent trace of someone close, worn every day.

How it works

When you place an order, you'll receive a thoughtfully curated kit that includes:

✔️ Silicone kit to capture the print (enough for practice and a final print) — you'll mix Part A + B together so the silicone cures properly
✔️ Round disc for your imprint
✔️ Easy-to-follow instructions
✔️ A prepaid return label for Canadian orders (U.S. orders will need to purchase a return label locally — we recommend USPS — to send back to Canada)

Once your completed imprint is back in our hands, it's ready for casting. Lost wax casting is an art and takes time — your finished piece will arrive within 15 weeks from when we receive your wax imprint.

Materials & Sizing
Available in Silver/Bronze, 10k Gold, and 14k Gold. Not sure of your ring size? No problem — your kit includes a ring sizer, so you can size yourself at home and simply note it on your returned imprint. As with all handmade casting, slight variations in sizing may occur.

Caring for your ring
Remove before swimming, exercising, or applying lotions and perfumes. Store in a dry place, and clean gently with a soft polishing cloth to keep the imprint crisp for years to come.

A note on your imprint

Each piece is handcrafted using the print provided in your kit — and because every print is taken at home and every print is unique, a few things are worth knowing:

• Print quality matters. The clarity of your finished piece depends on the print submitted. Smudged, incomplete, or faint prints may result in a less defined imprint — we'll always do our best, and we'll reach out if a print isn't usable so a new one can be sent.
• Exact replication can't be guaranteed. We capture every line and ridge with care, but handcrafted casting is a natural process, and minor variation from the original is normal.
• Double-check before returning your kit. Once a print is cast, we can't redo it with a different one — take a few practice attempts before submitting your final print.
• Fingerprints under 1 year of age aren't recommended. A baby's prints haven't fully developed yet, so we suggest waiting until your child is at least 1 for a clear cast.
• Paw prints & pet safety. Taking a paw print is done at your own risk — Forest + Fern isn't responsible for injury, stress, or harm to your pet during the process. Go at your pet's pace, never force or restrain them, and consult your vet if you have concerns.
