Ordering
How do I place an order?
Custom pieces are released in limited openings of 30 spots. The site is password-protected during each opening, and the password goes out to our email list and on Instagram shortly before we open. Once the 30 spots are claimed, the password stops working until the next opening.

Why do openings sell out so quickly?
Each piece is made by hand, one at a time. Limiting each opening to 30 spots lets us give every keepsake the care it deserves. Our last openings sold out in minutes, so we recommend being ready right when the site opens.
Can I place an order outside of an opening?
Ready-to-ship items may be available between openings. Custom keepsake pieces are only available during scheduled openings.
How It Works
How does an imprint piece work?
After you order, we mail you an impression kit to capture a fingerprint, handprint, or paw print at home. You send the impression back to us, and we hand-sculpt and cast it into your piece using lost-wax casting.
How does a keepsake inclusion piece work?
You send us a small amount of your keepsake material, such as breast milk, ashes, or fur, and we preserve it in resin within your chosen setting. (Canadian Orders - After placing your order, you will receive a keepsake kit in the mail, this includes the containers to send your keepsakes safely, as well as a return shipping label)
Do you make pet paw print jewelry?
Yes. We can create pieces from your pet's paw print, and we also preserve pet fur and ashes in our inclusion pieces.
Will I get my leftover materials back?
We will return your keepsake inclusions back to you including your silicone imprint - breastmilk will not be returned

How long will my order take?
- Custom jewelry pieces: 15 weeks

Where do you ship?
We offer free tracked shipping across Canada and the USA. All orders ship from Northwestern Ontario.
How do I return my impression kit?
Canadian orders include a prepaid return label. US customers arrange and pay for their own return shipping.
I'm in the USA. Will I pay duties?
Possibly. Orders ship from Canada, and any US duties, tariffs, taxes, or brokerage fees are the customer's responsibility and aren't included in your order total. These are charged by the carrier or customs, not by us. Refused or unclaimed packages cannot be refunded.
How will I know when my order ships?
You'll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.
Materials & Care
What metals do you use?
We work with 14K solid gold, 14K gold-filled, 925 sterling silver, and solid brass and bronze.
Which metal should I choose for a memorial piece?
We recommend solid gold for memorial keepsakes. It resists tarnish, lasts for generations, and is one of the best choices for sensitive skin.
Can I wear my jewelry every day?
Yes, with some care. Remove resin and inclusion pieces before swimming, showering, or washing your hands, and put your jewelry on after lotions and perfume. See our care guide for details on each metal.
Will my brass or bronze piece darken?
Brass and bronze naturally darken over time. This patina is normal and can be polished away with a soft jewelry cloth or tarnish remover.
Do you offer resizing?

Because every piece is personalized, all sales are final.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please message us on Instagram (@forestandfernjewelry) within 2 days of delivery with photos, and we'll do our best to help.

How do I order a custom keepsake jewelry piece?
You can place your order through our website! After checkout, you’ll receive a Keepsake Kit to safely collect and send your inclusions (breastmilk, ashes, flowers, etc.) to us.
What can be preserved inside jewelry?
We can preserve breastmilk, ashes, hair, fabric, dried flowers, sand, pregnancy test caps, hospital bands, paw prints, fingerprints, and more.
How much material do you need?
- Breastmilk: 5-10ml
- Ashes: About half a teaspoon
- Flowers: A few blooms or petals (extras are welcome!)
- Hair: A small lock
We always treat your items with respect and return any unused inclusions if requested.
Can I combine more than one inclusion?
Yes! Many clients love to combine breastmilk with hair, ashes with flowers, or create sibling/family pieces in one special design.

We offer solid 14k gold, sterling silver, and yellow bronze for different jewelry styles. Each listing has which metal is available in each style.
How long does it take to make my jewelry?
From the time we receive your inclusions, please allow 12 weeks for your piece to be created. Each one is handcrafted with care.
Will my jewelry look exactly like the sample photos?
Every keepsake is truly unique because natural materials vary slightly in colour and texture. We do our best to match your vision while celebrating the uniqueness of your story.
How should I care for my keepsake jewelry?
Avoid exposing your jewelry to water, lotions, or perfumes. Remove before sleeping, swimming, or showering. Store it in a cool, dry place to keep it beautiful for years.
Floral Preservation FAQ's
How do I book flower preservation?
Contact us as soon as possible after your event (wedding, funeral, etc.). Flowers are best preserved when we receive them fresh or recently dried.
How do I send my flowers to you?
After booking, you’ll receive detailed shipping instructions. If local, drop-off options are available. If shipping, we guide you on how to safely package flowers to avoid damage.
What can be made with preserved flowers?
We offer floral resin art (like frames, ring holders, and coasters), jewelry pieces with embedded petals, and customized keepsakes like ornaments or trays.
Can I use flowers that are already dried?
Yes, in many cases! Flowers that have been air-dried or pressed can often be incorporated into keepsake pieces.
How long does the preservation process take?
Drying and preserving flowers can take 6-8 months depending on the season. All orders are worked on in order and availability of molds.
What flowers preserve the best?
Roses, carnations, eucalyptus, and chrysanthemums hold up beautifully. Some delicate flowers (like lilies or tulips) may change more during drying but still create stunning pieces.
Can you work with artificial flowers?
In some cases, yes! Reach out to discuss options.
Will the flowers look the same after preservation?
Natural flowers will experience some slight colour and shape changes during drying. We use techniques to help maintain their beauty and uniqueness.
