Care + Information

About our Process

We work with a variety of materials like resin, solid yellow brass/bronze, 14K gold-filled metals, 14k solid gold, 925 sterling silver, and stones. We use various jewelry making techniques including lost wax casting and sculpture.

How to Care for Your Jewelry

Store jewelry away from humidity, direct sunlight, and metal pieces that can scratch resin. Be cautious with delicate gold-filled parts like pearls to avoid damage.

Gold-filled metals contain at least 5% gold, bonded to high-quality jewellers brass. This enhances compatibility with sensitive ears and resistance to tarnish, affected by individual body chemistry. Cleaning can be done with a jewelry polishing cloth.

Brass and bronze metals may darken over time as they are exposed to water and oils from the skin, but can be cleaned and polished with a soft jewelry cloth (sunshine cloth) and/or tarnish remover.

All jewelry is nickel free. Please see individual product descriptions for more information.

Why We Recommend Solid Gold for Memorial Keepsakes

When it comes to preserving something as deeply meaningful as a loved one’s ashes or hair, we always recommend choosing solid gold for your memorial jewelry.

Solid gold offers several important advantages:

1. Longevity and Durability

Solid gold is one of the most durable metals available. It will not tarnish, corrode, or degrade over time like plated or lower-quality metals can. When you are preserving irreplaceable human remains, you want a setting that will withstand time — protecting and honouring those memories for generations to come.

2. Emotional Significance

A memorial piece carries more than physical elements — it carries love, grief, stories, and memories. Solid gold provides a timeless, precious foundation worthy of the person you’re remembering. It’s an investment not just in jewelry, but in legacy.

3. Heirloom Quality

Pieces made from solid gold can be passed down through families as heirlooms. Over decades — even centuries — a solid gold piece will retain its beauty, meaning, and structural integrity, allowing future generations to feel that lasting connection.

4. Sensitivity and Skin Safety

Solid gold is generally hypoallergenic, making it a safer, more comfortable choice for daily wear — especially for those with sensitive skin.

Our Promise:

When you entrust us with your loved one’s ashes or keepsakes, we believe they deserve nothing less than the finest craftsmanship and materials. Choosing solid gold ensures that the memories you hold most dear are protected in a piece as lasting and precious as your love for them.

If you have any questions about material options or would like help choosing the best setting for your keepsake, we’re here for you every step of the way.
